Hydrotherapy Pool

Bookings can be made over the telephone, through our facebook page, via email, or by calling into the centre in person. All these details can be found on our contact page.

We require you to obtain consent from your vet. We can provide you or your vet with a veterinary referral form for their use.

Our custom built pool is 4.5m by 2.5m and the water is heated to between 28°C and 32°C. It is equipped with adjustable anti-swim jets, a sand filter and non-slip walkways in and out of the pool. The water is tested 3 times daily to maintain the correct levels of chemicals, therefore ensuring the safety of your pet.heir convenience. In the interests of the health and safety of all our patients, we will not treat an animal without first receiving consent from a registered veterinary surgeon.

Your pet will be showered before the treatment to wash off any dirt and hair, but also to warm up the muscles. After treatment, we will shower your pet again to wash off any chemical residue in their coat.

We will ensure your pet is as dry as possible prior to leaving the centre. Some dogs do not like us to use the blaster, so we will need to rely on towel drying. We ask you to bring along your own towel for this reason. Also, in the colder months, we would advise you to bring a coat for your pet to wear home.

Safety Equipment

Your pet will be fitted with the appropriate life jacket or harness, according to their condition, fitness, and ability in the water. We also have head collars and ear wraps to protect the ears from taking in water, as many dogs do not like this, or can be prone to ear infections.
